Opera House

Today I got myself a Sigma DC 18-50 mm 1:2,8 EX MACRO. I had some fun taking pictures in the car on my way back. Some of the pictures turned out quite OK, and I see that the lens has potential over my old Sigma DC 18-50 1:3,5-5,6. I have to wait and see if the potential is worth what I had to pay for this goodness.

"Tom Waits for no main" is a good one-liner and a reference to the fact that Bjørn Simensen said no when Tom Waits offered to play in the Oslo Opera House last summer. How stupid can you actually get?

A few more images taken with the new lens here.

Come to think of it Bjørn Simensen probably said something along these lines when Tom called him:
"Oh, I'm Sorry Tom, but I'm busy scratching my balls that week. You think we might do this next year instead?"
I still regret not taking some responsibility and posting Simensen an angry bobcat. I guess it's never too late ...

Nice, congrats! I've ordered myself a 50mm 1.8 manual focus that should arrive any moment - looking forward to it! Nice images from the macro also! I don't have any experience with macro, but it seems nice:)
